White Sheets

How do you get your white sheets extremely white?
I heard about those commercial chemicals, but as a personal consumer, we cannot get those. So, how do we do it?
I always soak my whites in bleach and hot water.
Soak them for about 30 minutes or so, and then wash them in hot water with your detergent.
This should keep them very very white.
