Why is it that in the Star Wars graphic novels, Luke is always taller than Han?

I thought Han was older. So why is it Luke lifts him off the ground in Dark Empire, and always seems taller in other ones?

Because Luke is the main character and he is supposed to be the hero of the series. He he has to tall and heroic and muscular because he basically saves the world.
