Star Wars Darth Vader Replica Lightsaber? What exactly does it do?

I am buying my boyfriend a lightsaber for his b-day, but I’m kinda confused. The mini replica I am looking at is in handle form, while the larger model is in action form. Which is cool, but it’s huge. Does anyone know what tha smaller one does???

The smaller version doesn’t do anything. It is just a replica of the hilt(handle). The larger version with the blade is really cool it lights up and has sound effects. When it lights up the light starts at the bottom and goes up just like the movie effects.
