Trek Constitution

A question for Trekkies?

Hello fellow nerds. I’m creating a Star Trek fan-fic about one of the forerunners of the Galaxy-class. The ship is a Constitution-class(With the look of the un-refit connie) with many of the Galaxy-classes features, seeing as how it is a forerunner of the Galaxy-class. The Ship is called the USS Explorer. Do you guys think it would be better if I made the ship an Ambassador-class? Thanks in advance.

Well…the Ambassador class occurs in a later time frame than the Constitution class, so if you want to indicate some sort of lineage between the various classes, I would go with this because it is closer in time to the Galaxy class.

As far as the various Enterprises go, I believe it runs Constitution/Constitution re-fit (original and A), Excelsior (B), Ambassador (C), Galaxy (D), and Sovereign (E).
