chip paint from thomas and friends wooden trains, i want to polish up where its chip, i bough TAMIYA COLOR ACRYLIC PAINT(GLOSS) AND MODEL MASTER ENAMEL PAINT(i was told i need a thiner for this paint, what if i used it without thinner, i bought some scrap wood to try it on and it had a strong smell even after it dry), i have not used them because im afraid of them being toxic, not sure is they are, lets keep in mind im painting my son thomas trains, are they toxic? can anyone suggest what kind of toxic free paint for wood i can used… CAN I USED TAMIYA COLOR ACRYLIC PAINT AND MODEL MASTER ENAMEL PAINT TO PAINT MY SON WOODEN THOMAS TRAINS?
Check the warning labels on the paint cans.
Acrylic is water based, thin with water/90% alcohol 1:1. (not best for a child’s toy)
Enamel is oil based and needs the thinner. 1:1; or thin as needed.
check with your local art/craft store for child safe paints.
