how safe is tamiya acrylic model paint?

Hello, i use tamiya acrylic model paint for my gundam plastic models and i want to know if i should be wearing dual filter mask to protect my self while air brushing with this type of paint. I read about it somewhere that acrylic model paint is non toxic but still very harm to your health and may cause cancer? there are warnings on the botttle about not breathing it too. so please can someone who knows well about acrylic model paint tell me what i should wear to fully protect against this type of paint. thanks alot!

There are metallics in model paints. Any time you use an air brush you create the opportunity for these chemicals, elements and metallics to enter your lungs.

Whether you use a dual filter mask or just one of those SARS type paper masks you should definitely wear one!!!!!
