Spray Gloss

I have painted an old rinnai gas heater with a spray can of quick dry gloss enamel, is this safe?

When I turned the heater on (it has been over a week since painted) I noticed fumes in the room. I am now not sure if it is safe to use? any feedback would greatly appreciate.

If you used engine heat proof paint it would be ok it will smell a little till it cures . The paint you used is not good it will produce toxic fumes and will most prob burn. You will need to strip it and start again
