Sponge Brush

when applying foundation is it better to use a brush or a sponge?

I’ve been using a brush but my face gets really fake looking and gross.
would a sponge work better?
also does anyone know if l’oreal infallible foundation is oil free?
thats what i use but ive been getting alot of zits & it doesn’t say if it’s oil free.

By sponge do you actually mean sponge or pad?

I use a brush time to time because i feel like it spreads more nicely but again it spreads TOO MUCH making you look fake.

I use a pad but its sort of like a sponge, it’ll only blend in the foundation where you like it to and gives a more natural feel since imprints the way the texture of your skin is. Get what i mean? For instance..with brushes it would make your skin look flat and smooth while the pad would make it look smooth but texturized making it look less fake.

Anyhow, i feel like sponges ALSO give the same effect as a pad does. Some people wet their sponges for it lasts longer and goes on your skin more effectivly but if you were to do that, you would have to use VERY little water and foundation or else it would come on too strong.

When it comes to blending in your skin and the foundation to look realistic, i find the brush alot useful…im a painter so blending is kind of my thing. All utensils are needed but the sponge is alot more effective. Hope ive felt!

As for the l’oreal infallible foundation..i have no idea.
