Scale Acrylic

Scale Acrylic
Interior mural, what paint/technique do I use?

I’m being commissioned an interior mural for a restaurant, will probably take up the whole wall so the materials that I use need to be lasting and resistant to any kind of damage/harm.

I know I could do a fresco but I’m a little intimidated by that because I’ve never done it, never done a mural, always work small scale oil and acrylic paintings. Not even sure how to start with plaster,.
Thanks for any and all help :)

Lay out your size on the wall and paint it white for your so called canvas.
The canvas being the wall. Then use acrylic paints from jars. You can buy them at any craft store. First look at what you are drawing if it is from a photo or picture of some kind. Pick out as many colors from the source photo you can find and write them down on a piece of paper to take with you to the craft store. They have many different colors in acrylics so I’m sure you will find what you want .Acrylic paints hold up for a very, very long time. So don’t worry if they will last . because they will out last you . And when laying out your mural use the grid method divide your source sketch or photo into 1 inch squares and your wall into 1 foot squares, so that anything within the one inch square goes into the one foot square. Forget about the plaster type mural, there is a lot to learn before you even think of doing something like that. If you need any advice contact me I will be glad to help you in any way i can .
I have done many murals in my life . Good luck to you .
