Sand Yellow
should i add a pair of yellow wrasses to my tank?
i have a 110 gallon fish only tank with live rock which currently has a pair of engineer blennys, a yellow watchmen a diamond goby, a yellow tang, a sebae clown and a white sand sifter goby.
Can i add a pair of yellow wrasses to my tank? will a yellow wrasse bug my crustations? (emerald crabs) blue legged crab and turbo snail?
From information that I got from saltwaterfish.com, the yellow wrasses is a peaceful fish, at times they tend to play dead like how the blue hippo tang does. They are also reef safe so you don’t have to worry about that. As for crustations, the wrasse family has powerful jaws to crush their prey, including crabs and snails. Use caution when adding this fish.
Anyways, research is always a good thing, but all the information is based upon experiments and experience. What people don’t understand that each fish has it’s own personality it’s likes and dislikes. So I base everything upon trial and error. If you do add these fishes just be aware that it can harm your blue legged crab alongwith your turbo snail.
