best paint scheme you can imagine on a p-51d mustang model?

i recently bought a plastic one from revell-monogram, and i dont like the paint scheme reccomended, any reccomendations? anything you even think would look good helps

The traditional natural metal is always good. I always choose an ace as they all had their own paint schemes. If you got the kit that I think you did – you already have the plane of John Landers (Big Beautiful Doll).

I recommend the following:

Tuskegee Airmen (red tails)
Don Gentile
George Preddy (Highest kill total in a P-51)
Chuck Yeager (yes that Yeager – he was an Ace in the P-51)
Ray Wetmore
Robin Olds (Shot down 5 more in Vietnam but started in P-51)
