What stage plays use red silk to represent blood?

The only time I can recall seeing this done is in the movie Shakespeare in Love… (during the performance of Romeo and Juliet).
Just wondering what other specific plays might afford a director the opportunity to use the same technique to represent blood… and if you recall a specific performance when it was done.

Just a few years ago I went to a local performance of Richard III (yes, another Shakespeare) and the actors used red silk streamers and scarves to represent the blood and death on stage. The effect was great, especially because the staging was so minimal. That sudden burst of color during key scenes had huge impact on the audience.

I’d say any stage play that includes death could use the same effect. For poison, you could use a green gauze scarf held at the actor’s throat or thrown over their head for a similar effect. I think the punch is in the creativity, not just the prop.
