Defect in Injection Molding::what’s the relationship between short shot and mold release agent.?

After every time I spray the mold release agent to the mold in order to avoid the broken problem, normally the subsequent product has the problem of short shot .
I spray for about every 15 products.
The material I use is polycarbonate and the mold has 2 cavities.
So is there any other factor causes this phenomena and how do I reduce?
While the mold is open and the product is ejected, I open the safety door then I spray the mold release agent to the mold.
The cycle time is about 19.4 sec.

Does your cycle allow some time for the release agent spray? It sounds like a timing issue to me, maybe you need to give the spray another second to complete.

is it really a short shot, or just a sensor malfunction?
