What to use for stripping paint from a set of antlers that have been painted black .Will it damage the natural?

Hi I have a set of antler painted black years ago, will using a paint stripper ruin the original horn finish of the deers antlers ? How should I remove this paint .It gloss black applied by previous owner .

all the sites below have some info…. personally, I’d use stripper, lightly, several times, and then sandpaper lightly… then stain….the black that hasn’t come out would sort of be ‘patterning’ or ‘antiquing’ …. if that won’t do, I suggest taking them to the taxidermist and paying him to do it right…..BEFORE you fiddle too much with them…..
