whats the best thing to remove light marks from matt emulsion paint?

water and washing up liquid or will this mark the walls? something stronger or weaker?

If it’s a small area it may sound weird but sometimes rubbing with bread will help – something to do with the yeast content – I don’t recommend eating the bread afterwards though. I have also used the liquid clothing pre wash treatment called vanish dabbed at the mark with a cotton wall ball or kitchen paper.
