Can you use spray paint on fabric?

I used Montana Gold Spraypaint to stencil my tshirt. Do you think its a good idea can you tell me your expiriences?

It can work and be permanent, but it will be a lot *stiffer* than using a “fabric” paint, a regular acrylic paint mixed with “textile medium,” or a spray dye or watered-down acrylic paint.
I guess “enamel” paints (non-water-based paints) would work in the same ways, especially if not applied lightly, though those can’t be diluted with *water.*

When a wide expanse of (thick-ish) paint, etc., is put onto something that will flex a lot (like clothing), it will tend to crack over time (and especially with machine-washing).
That’s why fabric paint (or acrylic paints with textile medium which is the same thing), or more of a “watery” paint or dye that also gets down into the fibers easily, will work better –they’ll be quite flexible.
