why do people use evoo for pan frying if the light olive oil is specifically labeled for sauteeing?

& should I be using a lighter oil to fry with as far as taste is concerned? i understand the benefits of extra virgin olive oil (evoo) but would rather be using something different if it would be more exquisite.

Because most people think all oil is the same and don’t understand the uses for different types of oil.
