Kit Sealed

Kit Sealed
1998 Volkswagen Jetta has a fuel leak. We have a new kit with seals etc. We discovered it just needs?

We discovered it just needs to be resealed. Does anyone know of step by step instructions with photos that shows exactly how to do this? We have done searches online to find the information BUT have found nothing for what we need to know. Can anyone out there help?

There was a recall on the filler neck

JAN 25, 2002 | Recall ID# 28638
FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY:FILLER PIPE AND CAP
ON SOME PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE FUEL TANK FILLER NECK CAN SUFFER ABRASION DAMAGE IF THE REAR TIRE GOES FLAT AND THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN UNTIL THE TIRE DISINTEGRATES….more details

To reseal the unit you have to drop it off the car. If I was going through that much effort, I would just replace it.
