What is an appropriate gift in this situation?

My girlfriends best friend has just lost her fiance. They were both students in the medical field and slowly planning a wedding. He was only 27 and she even younger. I will be attending his funeral on my girlfriends be hath because they all used to hang out. Her best friend is not very found of me, however I still feel like we should do something special for her. I don’t want to just send flowers to the funeral home. What would be best. I have a really great picture of them at one of the hockey games we went to together. Would it be bad if I had that picture inscribed into that glass looking acrylic as a necklace or maybe a key chain? I need your help.
