Are the people on Star Wars, like Han Solo and Luke Skywalker humans or aliens?

I mean they look like humans (one of them looks like Indiana Jones), and speak English. But there’s never any mention of Earth.

Humans were one of the first species to develop space travel, and so humans became one of the major species of the galaxy – spreading far and wide. There are also a lot of species that are near-human, such as Zeltron, Chiss, etc, that more or less look human but perhaps have different skin tones or eye colors than humans. The fictional humans in the galaxy far far away tend to greater lifespans than the ones on real life Earth.

Within the Star Wars universe, characters call their language Basic (short for Galactic Basic Standard) – but it looks a lot like English to us. It uses a different alphabet than ours, but is essentially English as it appears to us as audience members.

There’s no real mention of Earth in Star Wars, as it takes place a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away – but in one comic story that is not considered canon, Han Solo and Chewbacca crash land on Earth – in North America, and Solo’s remains are found by Indiana Jones, while the longer-lived Wookiee forms the basis for the Bigfoot legends.
