Are Gundam Markers good for painting Gundam models?

So i have been working on gundam models for some time but i have never paid attention to detail like the the color and making it look like it came out of the anime.
Anyway so i have seen quite a lot of ways to color the gundam model, but the markers, they seem pretty easy to use compared to the other ones, but are the markers the best way to color the gundam models, well not really the best way, but is it a good way?

Typically no, there are people who have properly painted models with just Gundam markers but it’s fairly difficult because they tend to have inconsistent paint flow. The best way would be an airbrush but they get expensive, an alternative being spray cans of tamiya or even the standard Krylon paint. The best way if you want something cheap and simple would be to hand brush them with a paint brush. The best way to start it is to thin the paint with whatever the standard thinner is, say water acrylics – water, and brush with fine soft brushes to reduce the brush marks. There are some things that actually hold liquid to the tip so there are no actual brush marks (well no brush at all) but I wouldn’t really bother.
