fighter plane game?

i wernt a big fan of these games i rember when i was younger there where hudreds (helicopter , planes , jets etc) now i cant find 1 made in the last 5 – 7 years (that a prober game rather than mini flash or java based) it quite anoying because i want to play 1 any one know a good 1 and not battelfield play for 2 hours to find a plane i want u start of in a helicopter or plane and just go atacking floor objects and other planes

Ace Combat series is a fantastic fighter plane game. I highly recommend it!
