Does a nail brush (for cleaning) make nails stronger?
I’m currently having some chipping problems with my nails.
I was wondering if using a good nail brush to clean under the nails would help?
No, it won’t really make them stronger. You should use one for hygiene but don’t over use it as you can damage the hyponychium.(skin beneath the nail) The best i’ve found for weak nails is cuticle oil. Massage it in around the cuticle area and on the nail generally. Do this at least twice a day especially after your hands have been in water. The massaging increases circulation to the nail matrix which results in better circulation and healthier growth. The cuticle oil waterproofs your nails a little too resulting in less splitting and flaking after bathing etc.Make sure you’re eating healthily as this effects your nails and lastly use rubber gloves for and dirty or wet work. Do this and you should be sporting healthy strong nails in no time.
