The Chevy TrailBlazer Does Exactly That

Since it rolled off the assembly line its unveiling in 2002 the Chevy TrailBlazer has remained a top-seller in the SUV market for Chevy, spacious cabin, endless features, and it’s well priced so it’s no surprise the TrailBlazer was a consumer hit. As Chevy phased out production on the Blazer, the TrailBlazer became the mainstay for Chevy’s mid-size SUV.

Over the years the TrailBlazer has been improved and changed to be an improved SUV for the buyer. One special option was unveiled as the North Face Edition which offered a 290-hp 5.3L V8 motor and upgrades perfect for the back country. Other variations also saw an increased availability of V8 power, improved seating quality, side curtain airbags, power-adjustable pedals, DVD-based navigation, CD/MP3 audio, and satellite radio.

The performance packing Chevy TrailBlazer SS is offered with a 291-hp 6.0L V8 engine which debuted in 2006. Also, that year the 5.3L V8 motor became available for non-EXT versions. The main trim packages available are, base, LS, LT, and SS. The LS is well-equipped and the LT included options such as leather seating, and other high-class features. The two versions of the SS were offered with a V8 motor, a sporty suspension, 20-inch tires, and a monochromatic exterior.

The TrailBlazer is stock with a 4-speed automatic transmission for all its models, however, you can have either 2WD or four-wheel-drive. The SS model also has the option of having all-wheel-drive as well as the standard 2WD. Its engine zooms zero to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds which is faster than some so called “sports cars”. With all that power, the chassis has superb handling and precise steering as well.
