Xbox 360 Games

Xbox 360 games are the games created to be played on the xbox 360 gaming console. The second such gaming console (the first was the xbox) created by Microsoft as an answer to Sony’s Playstation 3 and Nintendo’s Wii, all together known as the seventh generation gaming consoles. Sleek, black and with great quality graphics, sound and video, the seventh generation game consoles are coveted in the gaming world. The xbox 360 has sold over 53.6 million consoles worldwide.

Since the introduction of the xbox 360, a myriad of games have been released both exclusively xbox 360 games and others. If a game is marked exclusive then it is only to be played in a xbox 360 platform. Many new movies, popular video games and other merchandise have been released as xbox 360 games. Famous game development and publishing companies such as Sega, Bandai and EA Games have released xbox 360 games.

For example the ever famous Call of Duty series. Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 3, Modern Warfare, Black Ops, Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 and the latest, World At War has been released on xbox 360 game platform.

Call of Duty: World At War was released in 11th November 2008 in the United States and four days later in Europe. The xbox 360 version tells the story of World War II in the perspective of a Marine Raider Private, a Red Army soldier and a US Navy Petty Officer on both the Pacific and Eastern Fronts. The game has multiplayer components and is based on the modes and levels system where you must complete a level to go into the next and unlock new weapons and methods in the process. The latest added feature allows two players locally and up to four players via online.

The xbox 360 game was one of the very first games to have been a bestseller in the United States. Complete with other platform releases of the game it sold up to 1.41 million units. It became the third fastest video game to have been sold in the UK, where it bypassed the selling units of the previous game, Call of Duty 4 by twice as many units. Call of Duty: World At War was given many positive reviews, especially for its real life portrayal of war and its unglamorous dark side.

Another great game released under xbox 360 games in December 2010, is Konami’s Dance Dance Revolution.  The purpose of the game is to dance to the different songs and levels offered. The game has been taken from the hit music arcade game that stormed the stage in 1998 in Japan. Unlike typical arcade games, DDR has the player depending on the timing of his feet and not his hands. The game comes with a dance pad on which the player or players must step up to the beat of the music. The higher the level the harder the steps, to master each, you must have great coordination in your legs.

Dance Dance Revolution has had four releases on the xbox 360. Dance Dance Revolution and Dance Dance Revolution Universe 1, 2 and 3.

When choosing from the multitude of xbox 360 games available, one could get quite confused. So it’s better to know beforehand which games you plan to buy and then consulting a list, like the one on wikipedia to see if your chosen game is out on xbox 360 games.Try and check by playing funny games!
