Scratched eye with tweezers…should I be concerned?

I was plucking my eyebrows and dropped the tweezers I was using at the time. With the way my head was angled, the tip of the tweezers scratched the tip of my eyeball. It didn’t feel good, and I blinked a few times, and then I was fine.

If you can see fine out of that eye and it’s not causing you any pain then there’s no need to visit a doctor. What you need to do is monitor it closely and if you start to develop any new redness around the scratch, if it starts to hurt, if you start noticing any discharge in that eye or if your vision starts to become blurry/you become sensitive to light – THEN you should go see a doctor urgently.

For now all they’ll do is have a quick look in there, maybe put some fluoro dye in your eye so they can look for scratches and then send you home to take it easy.
